In 2021-2022, Centrum Pæle will be an active partner in the INTERREG Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerak-supported research project COOLGEOHEAT.
Together with the Nordic region's leading experts in geothermal and heat pump technology, Centrum Pæle will help to develop the tools needed to be able to supply entire districts with sustainable energy from the ground in the future.
In the project, Centrum Pæle will contribute concrete knowledge about the commercial and scientific benefits of using energy poles as a source of supply in new districts.
It is proven in the EUDP project "Sustainable, building-integrated heating and cooling supply to the resilient cities of the future" that energy piles are an extremely advantageous source of supply economically, with payback times for installation of the system of between 3-6 years when compared to current district heating installations .
Centrum Pæle supports UN's world goal no. 11 through our participation in research projects that aim to make the cities of the future more sustainable, resilient and safe.
